El Coto de Rioja has won the trophy to the Best Spanish Wine Producer of 2016 at the International Wine & Spirit Competition (IWSC), one of the most prestigious awards in the wine industry worldwide.
The prestigious IWSC was created to look for and reward excellence in the wine and spirit industry, and receives entries from about 90 countries from all over the world. A jury made up of 400 experts determines which is the best in each category. The winners were announced at a gala ceremony which took place on November 16 in London. El Coto de Rioja, thanks to the 7 medals it was awarded, won in the category of Spanish winery, beating the other 4 final candidates.
