As Sortes is a white wine from Valdeorras developed by Rafael Palacios made of the Godello variety. Arguably one of Spain's finest whites, from old vines planted in slate soils. Full of aromatic white peach, fresh lemon and a honeyed character. Soft texture on the palate before a citrus peel finish.
 
The wine has been aged in French barriques for 8 months, it is rich, lively and textured from its lees ageing.

STORY BEHIND THIS WINE
Rafael Palacios is a legend in the world of wine and especially in Spain. If ever there was a winemaker with the Midas touch it is him. He single-handedly has revived the fame and allure of the Godello grape, a grape on a stratospheric ascendancy. The vineyard is located in Valle del Bibei in Galicia. The age of the vines for this wine is up to 90 years old.
