Valdesil winery is known for its Godello wines and this one is the star of them all. The bodega has its vineyards in the Sil valley, Valdeorras. Its unique slate soils make the wines of this house very unique.
The Pezas da Portela is a 100% Godello comes from 11 small Pezas (plots) in the village of Portela at an altitude of 500 meters with an average age of 50-year-old vines owned by the family. Each plot is vinified separately in different sized oak barrels, then mixed and left in a barrel for 6 months, before transitioning it to stainless steel.
 
What a beautiful white wine this is, refined and sophisticated. This is a great unique wine that will only improve over the years. The best summary for this wine is: Delicate - Complex with great finesse.
